Rorie Kelly getting started on a new song for her 2021 album Shadow Work
Ray Lambiase overdubbing a vocal part on his 2021 release “The Road Ahead”

Although the original intent was to create a stereo/surround mixing room with a small overdub booth big enough for  an acoustic guitar or voice recording, the new space has a room that can comfortably accommodate a full set of drums … or two to three acoustic musicians … or a larger background vocal group, with bi-directional video communication.
The unique array of diffusers and absorbers encourages any type of capture, from dry and tight –  to a wide, sparkly Mid-Side microphone array.

“In twenty years of recording, in London, Toronto and cities all over America, I have never had a better experience in the studio than I did with Kevin Kelly at Workshoppe East.  Anyone who cares about excellence, paired with a very reasonable rate, should work with him as often and as soon as possible.”
Rupert Wates, Singer/Songwriter

After working with Kevin Kelly at The Workshoppe East on The Ballad of Three Finger Brown, I knew I’d be returning for my next project. Kevin tries to find exactly what each song needs, and combines a technical wizardry with his passion for collaboration, and helping every track realize the songwriter’s vision.
Ray Lambiase, Singer/Songwriter

“Kevin Kelly is a sound engineer and producer with the highest degree of expertise that you need when it comes time to record your music. I cannot begin to find the words or phrases to sing his praises. Actually, here’s one: kickass!”
Toby Tobias, Singer/Songwriter

“I am amazed at the details Kevin Kelly makes immaculate in my recordings. His level of skill plus his affability are a true rarity in this business.”
